GVR Tai chi arts club
The GVR Tai Chi Arts Club was founded in 2022 and has since grown to over 70 members. We meet 3 times weekly to focus on abilities and practicing the form. We specialize in the Yang Style Tai Chi but other external martial arts and introductory Qi Gong are included.
4 Cornerstones of Open the Door to Tai Chi
1. Perfection is not the goal – improving lives through the benefits of
Tai Chi is the real goal.
2. The underlying principles of Tai Chi drive the benefits – not just
doing the movements.
3. Tai Chi should be approachable and accessible to everyone. It can be
taught as an exercise in a non-intimidating way. You do not have to
be a martial artist or a master to teach it or to participate in it.
4. Tai Chi is an important piece of the overall fitness puzzle for the
mature population. It is the perfect complement to a plan that
includes strength training, cardiovascular training, balance, and flexibility
training.
